I’m Amy Jo, lover of all things beautiful, including, but not limited to the growing pains that coexist with life’s many lessons. Through my yoga classes and my writings, I share personal challenges and discoveries as a way to connect with humankind and intensify my own understanding of self and others. A daily yoga practice combined with a lifestyle of simplicity and significant amounts of solitude provide me strength, insight and clarity.
I have been teaching yoga since 2002, after studying with Ganga White and Tracey Rich at White Lotus Foundation. Inspired by Jiddu Krishnamurti, Pema Chodron, and Ana Forrest, I teach a style of yoga that integrates deep breath with mindful movement and encourage students to practice gentleness and honesty while exploring their innermost universe to heal past wounds, walk a path of authenticity and evolve as a human being.
