a few weeks ago, i posted a blog about the uniform project, a charitable exercise benefiting children living in the slums of india. i went back to the site to check out some of her innovative outfits and picked a few of my favorites for fun.

i have always been inspired by rooms that combine bohemian flavor, cottage coziness, charming eccentricity, whispered romance and whimsical flair with a mulititude of rich colors, soft lighting, pin-drop silence, fresh air, lovely scents, thick cushions, warm blankets and piles of cushy pillows that seduce my body into resting for hours upon hours as i lose track of time, without distraction from anything going on outside this quaint space.

i visited the texas state fair with my dad a few times as a little girl, remembering it as a big place that was too loud with too many people. still not a fan of crowds and noise, i saw it with new eyes this year, enjoying the antique cars, mapapa african acrobats and melt-in-your-mouth funnel cake.

for years now, i have dreamed of owning a cottage-like treehouse, a primitive place i can escape for both wild adventure and quiet retreat. i found some pictures of a few that look deliciously charming.

if i had to pick an all-time favorite song, always on my mind by willie nelson would be my choice. overflowing with emotion, truth and heartache, it has the power to move me from the inside out each and every time i hear it. always has. always will.
there is something so incredibly special about this man. his voice has a way of calming my fears, while simultaneously bringing me deeper into my own pain. his soul has been one with whom i have felt connected since the first time i heard his music as a child.
